Managing the Owner’s Information

 

Open the browse window by selecting Browse my plants button on the Welcome screen of the My Garden Pal desktop software. The browse window appears.

 

  1. Select Manage owners info menu item from the Tools menu, as shown in Figure 4-4:

    The Owner description page appears, as shown in Figure 8-1:

     

  3. Modify the First Name and the Last Name and Country if required.

  4. Select the desired unit from the Units field. Select Metric if you want to provide plant measurement details in Meters else if you want to use Imperial units then select Imperial.

  5. Select the hemisphere of your region from Hemisphere field.

  1. Select the Zone for your plant's location from the Zone field. To know more about zones, click here.

 

  1. Select the reminder period from the Reminder Period field.

 

The Reminder period affects your to do list entries. The to do list feature of the My Garden Pal desktop software allows you to view all the tasks that are to be completed in your garden for a specific period.  The higher the period the longer the program will take to open as it is calculating your new reminders every day.

 

  1. Specify the Software Key  in the Software key field.

 

The software key must match with the key that you have received in an email at the time of the installation of My garden Pal desktop software or on your bought CD.

 

  1. Click Save.
