The My Garden Pal desktop software allows you to add the information about the plants that you have so that you can gather more information on them and share the information with the web community. This feature also allows you to maintain a database of the plants that you have and get maintenance updates from My Garden Pal website members.
To add a new plant, you need to:
Click Add a new plant button under my plant library heading, as shown in Figure 1-1.

Alternatively you can click Browse my plants button under my plant library heading and click Add icon on the Your Garden page that appears.
You can also click Edit menu item and then select Add Plant Manually submenu item.
The Manage add new page appears, as shown in Figure 1-2.

The page allows you to provide the details of the plant. The page shows many different fields but does not restrict you to fill all the fields. You can provide as much information you have about the plant. While adding a plant, you can add the following details for a plant:
