Our database was originally put together by our horticulturist. Since then the plant information in the encyclopedia constantly grows because our My Garden Pal members add their plant knowledge. Because of this our community plant care information exists for the same plant a few times as it takes into account different peoples growing environments. You pick the care information from the conditions closest to your own conditions. This may be from someone on the other side of the world. But don't worry we convert all the season and measurements over to what you are familiar with. My Garden Pal aims to have the most intensive plant encyclopedia in the world because everyone can contribute their care information at a click of a button. - Open My Garden Pal personal encyclopedia
- Click "Add a new plant" from the front screen
- Enter in all plant details that you know will help this plant grow. These details contain a lot of information about the botany of the plant. It is not necessary for all of this information to be known, just enter in what you know from your experiences.

That's it! Now your information is on our server and ready to be searched by anyone in the world. When this information was uploaded we know from your registration where you live so we can now tailor your information for members by changing seasons and measurements to suit their local environment.
If you update your plant information and you wish to update the information on our server, all you have to do is press the "share on web" button again and the information will be updated with your new information.
