How to save a plant to your online plant list.

We all have plants and flowers we take care of. Now let me show you how save them to your online My Garden Pal personal encyclopedia.

You have two choices actually. You can custom build your own plant encyclopedia by entering all your own plants into My Garden Pal, or, you can easily just use the information on the online encyclopedia and then change it to your experiences later.

You can do this during your searches on our web site.

  1. Log into My Garden Pal web site
  2. Click the Search under the menu item Plant information menu
  3. Now enter any information you know about the particular plant you want to include into your personal encyclopedia. In this example I know I have a Day Lily but I'm not sure on it's exact terminology so I'm going to search for just "lily" to search all data.

  4. Click the button "Search" and My Garden Pal will search our online encyclopedia for any entries that contain the word "lily" anywhere in the plant file.
  5. You will see a list of results for your search.
  6. Click on the botanic name to see more details of the plant.
  7. When you have found the one you want and you are in the details of the plant click add to my shared plants (it's at the top of the plant details)
  8. You can check that your plant has been added by clicking the My Shared Plants under the menu item Plant information and you will see your plant added to the list.
  9. Now you can edit any of the information about this plant by clicking on edit next to the plant.
