Two Products One Site

My Garden Pal offers two products

Online personal web database - add plants to your garden list from information on our site or start your own plant collection. Your information will be available anywhere in the world to edit or add to. Reminders set for your garden will be emailed to you monthly.
A desktop installable product that requres Windows XP. Only available for searching on the computer that the software is installed on. You can link your plants online but they must be edited through your desktop software.

What is online that is NOT in the desktop software

Until the new version of desktop software is released there are a few new entry fields online.

Plant Sexuality - used to determine if you need one or more of the plants to reproduce, choose from a selection list.
Uses For This Plant - a note box to describe how the plant may be prepared for extra uses, e.g. medicinal
Usage - a multi-selection list where you can choose a set of usages for the plant
Companion Plants - a multi-selection list where you can choose the Botanic Name from our plant encyclopedia of plants that support this plant.
Sow Reminders - a new reminder
