My Garden Pal team wishes the Northern hemisphere users all all the best with the spring planting season. Use our software to track the plants that you are newly acquired so we can remind you of the special care that is needed during the plants first few months. We have created an example of how to fill in the required fields so you will never forget to water, prune or fertilize your precious investments. How-to remind me.... Don't forget to press the "Share on Web" button to share your plants. If you update your information just press the "Share on Web" button again and your information on our server will also be updated.

FAQ Tips for members:

How to set a plant reminder

Say you have just purchased a plant or you have one in the garden that you just can't remember when to fertilize or prune it. My Garden Pal lets you put in these remembers so you can view what it is you are to do this week and will continue to remind year after year.

1. Open My Garden Pal desktop software

2.Enter your plant information by clicking the New Plant button or Edit Plant button from the Welcome window


3. Select the "Locations" tab at the top and add in all the locations that the plant is in your garden. Make sure you add an age of the plant. If it is new plant the age is 1 day as at today's date.

4. click on the "Schedules" tab next to the location tab.

5. Enter the month(s) when to fertilize the plant, the type of fertilize to use(optional) and the amount.

6.Click “Pruning schedule ” and fill in the details here.

7. Click the watering schedule and fill in details. This schedule is very important to get plants established.

  In this example the My Garden Pal will remind you to water every day until the plant is 1 week old. Then My Garden Pal will remind you once a week until the plant is 1 month old. Once the plant is 1 month old My Garden Pal will continue to remind you to water the plant twice a month or every 15 days.

8. Tick "remind me " options on the right side of this page.

Click save! Now the system will automatically add into your weekly to-do list (welcome screen) this plant and it's various locations to do the tasks that you have set. To stop your reminders just take out the tick from step 8.
