Work-at-Home Mums cross borders to produce a Home Garden Management Web site
A mother of four working from her Queensland home and a new mother from Hastings Victoria have crossed borders to produce a web site program specifically written for gardeners across Australia.
Cheryl Miller-Crispe and Camilla Lazzard worked with Melbourne business woman Jo Gordon over more than two years to develop and bring to market a complete and interactive web site dedicated to gardeners called My Garden Pal. Using contract programmers to develop the software, they have created a web site that has three phases.
There is a web site dedicated to gardeners, a database for My Garden Pal Club members to form a storehouse of their gardening experiences and, most importantly, a desktop diary and database that is kept on the users’ home computer.
The desktop software can be purchased in a CD-ROM edition or downloaded from the My Garden Pal web site at www.mygardenpal.com.au for a low $19.95 which also gives users free access to the My Garden Pal Web Club.
Gardening Web Experience
The My Garden Pal program has already garnered rave reviews for its stability, trustworthiness and innovative features.
The program has received numerous endorsements from the horticulture industry. All have wondered why it hasn'tt been developed before.
Extensive Support
With the contribution of thousands of gardeners as well as advocates engaged in the development of the database, documentation, testing and marketing of My Garden Pal, a rich ecosystem of support resources and tools is available. These include online documentation, tutorials, FAQs and links to gardening support partners.
