How to Back up your data?
- Open My Garden Pal
- Click "Browse My Plants"
- From the menu bar select 'File' then 'Backup Database'
- Browse to the location on your hard drive where you would like to locate your back up files
- Give your file a name
- Click 'Save'
- Click 'OK' when you are told your database has been backed up
- To be extra safe you should copy this file onto another media for a second backup
How to Restore from your Back up?
- Open My Garden Pal
- Click "Browse My Plants"
- From the menu bar select 'File' then 'Restore Database'
- Enter a new Database name - this will make a new database with all your backup data in it. You will still have available your current database if you need it.
- Click 'Browse' and locate you backup file
- Click 'Restore'
- After it has successfully created your new database Click 'Cancel'
- Now you must make the backup the current database to look at.
- From the menu bar select 'File' then 'Open Database'
- Select the name from the list that you just created in step 4
- You will receive a message saying your database has been open and you will return to the Home screen.
- If you browse now you will see your backup data restored.
